Let’s Get CYC’D: CYC Fitness Workout Playlist

When it comes to working out, having a great playlist can make all the difference. Something about the beat in the music just motivates you to keep pushing forward. Cyc Fitness knows a thing or two about how important music is to keeping the momentum going.

Cyc frames its entire 45-minute ride around sports based movements using small weights on the bike. Intense hip hop is often used to complement a boxing sector, while more epic emotional songs pair well with rowing, an EDM song’s fast beat gets riders out of the saddle during the jumps sector.

Because the method is beat-based, meaning Cyc requests that riders pedal “to the beat”, the pace is musically driven. Introducing brand new music and mixes is so important to Cyc that they’ve enlisted Cycologist and music-aficinado Will Kelleher of Austin, Texas, to seek out new and undiscovered artists.

We’re stoked to host The Cyc Wellthily Ride and Yoga tomorrow, January 17th on The Refinery Rooftop. We’ve been preparing ourselves all week by jamming out to Cyc Music: Top Hits of 2014. So grab a pair of headphones, pop them in, and get ready for the ride of your life as a part of the #cycwellthily takeover.
